How and when do I have to sign up for the ski school?

  • For weekly packages including lunch, please book in advance. For all other group lessons, please register at our meeting point at Chapfstrasse 13 (5 minutes' walk from the Arvenbüel bus station/car park) at least 30 minutes before the start of the course (payment on arrival or through pre-sale on Saturdays and Sundays between 2 and 3 pm).
  • For private lessons we expect your reservation 2-3 days in advance, at the latest the evening before.

From what age can I enrol my child in ski school lessons?

  • Our ski kids area is suitable for kids aged 3.5 or older.
  • Snowboarding lessons are available for kids aged 9 or older, below 9 years we recommend private lessons.

Are there taster lessons available for children?

  • Yes, a taster lesson on Monday is fully credited when you buy a "Snowli-Week" package until Tuesday. (Fr 40.-)
  • Taster lessons are also available in the afternoon on weekends.

Do you recommend private lessons for small children?

  • We highly recommend group lessons for small children. Our recipe for success in our Ski Kids Area is "Private lessons in a group setting" - As each child is supervised individually while skiing! Learning through play can be better taught in a group setting and the group dynamic with singing, games and visits of the Snowli mascot has a highly motivating effect on learning behaviour.

Can I enrol as an adult?

  • For adults we offer individual private lessons in cross-country skiing, alpine skiing or snowboarding. The lessons will be fully tailored to your needs and level. Reservation is required 2 - 3 days in advance, latest by the evening before the desired course start.

Can we rent skiing equipment directly from the school?

  • We do not have any equipment available for rent at the ski school. Please contact a sport's shop to hire suitable equipment.
  • Gmürsport offers an equipment hire shop based at Arvenbüel (5 minutes away from the ski school). Find more information at http://www.gmuersport.ch

Can we pay with Reka?

  • No. Accepted payment methods are cash (in CHF), credit and debit cards (except Postcard) and TWINT.

Can a child switch between levels during the week?

  • At the kids area, there is a daily change-over as soon as the learning objective has been achieved. From the "Blue Prince" level onwards, changes are made in consultation with the instructors.

Is the ski pass included in the lesson tariffs?

  • The usage of lifts is included in all half-day lessons including the "Snowli-Week" deal (during lesson times). The full ski pass including public bus is included in the weekly packages. You can also buy the weekly packages at the lift ticket offices.
  • If you already have a ski pass, you will receive a corresponding discount on the purchase of a ski school subscription on presentation at the ski school office. The ski pass is not included with private lessons.

How many children are there in a group?

  • Our aim is a maximum of 6 children per teacher in the Kids Area. In other groups, there are a maximum of 8-10 children per teacher. Only in rare exceptional cases can we not adhere to these standards.

We left the Snow League booklet at home, what can we do?

  • Inform your instructor, as she/he will then write the new entry on a copied sheet of paper. Keep this with the booklet and bring it along for the correct entry at the next opportunity.

Is there also a concluding ski race for children?

  • During the sports holiday periods (February), concluding kids races are organised for all participants on Friday afternoons. Your instructor will inform you about the programme. Spectators and fans are very welcome to cheer at the edge of the slope and at the following prize-giving ceremony.
