Description
An idyllic winter hiking trail leads from Arvenbüel to the Chapf viewpoint. After about 20 minutes walking between snow-covered slopes, you reach the Chapf at 1288 meters above sea level.
Short Winter Walk to the Chapf
The route starts in Amden Arvenbüel. Past the Café Leistkamm it continues along the little road to the end. Here the panorama opens up over the beautiful mountains and the deep blue Lake Walensee. The view of the lake with its mountain scenery is impressive and always different - depending on the weather.
A Dreamlike Picture to be Remembered
When the sun shines, the snow-covered Glarus peaks shine above Lake Walensee - from the majestic Mürtschenstock to the Leistkamm, the highest mountain in Amden. The Chapf also offers a view of the Betlis peninsula with the Strahlegg castle ruins. Whether for a short break or as part of a longer hike, the winter walk to the Chapf will be an experience to be remembered.
