Description
What a wonderful setting for a chapel: The Betlis chapel is located between the impressive Seerenbach Falls and the deep blue waters of Lake Walensee - a place of strength and tranquillity with a panorama that invites you to marvel.
Some History
As early as 1300, the chapel stood below Strahlegg Castle, which was dedicated to St. Nicholas of Myra. Flooded by water, it was abandoned and demolished in 1773. It was not until 1889 that the pretty chapel was rebuilt and consecrated to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. A comprehensive restoration was carried out in 2002.
