Description
The hike starts in the village center of Amden. First, the trail descends in the direction of the Gallus church. Shortly before the indoor swimming pool you find the junction on the left hand side.
Waterfall in Magical Winter Landscape
At the heart of the trail, the route leads over the striking bridge above the Fallenbach gorge. The impressive waterfalls of the Seerenbach ripple between the snow-covered landscapes. A dreamlike backdrop for profound views! After the bridge, the level path continues to Bergruh. Once there, you have two options: The shorter hiking trail leads back to the village center of Amden on the quiet Hofstettenstrasse.
Longer Hike with Fantastic Views
The second option leads along the gravel path straight on past the Lourdes Marian Grotto. This wonderful place of devotion is a popular place to contemplate. Shortly thereafter, at the Fallen viewpoint, a dreamlike panorama of the deep blue Lake Walensee opens up, which rests peacefully in the glittering white mountain scenery. The hiking trail ascends and leads through the enchanting forest up to the playground Girengärtli - another opportunity for a break with warm tea, or simply to enjoy the wonderful panoramic view over Lake Walensee. The circular trail leads back through the forest to the main road and down to the village center of Amden.
