Description
The circular tour leads from the village of Amden down towards the Gallus church. Shortly before the indoor swimming pool, you turn left onto the "Albert-Böni-Opawsky" trail. Just a few meters later, you are already at the heart of the trail, the striking bridge, looking down into the depths of the Fallenbach gorge. The view of the waterfalls below the bridge is phenomenal.
After crossing the bridge, the flat path continues to Bergruh. Once there, there are two paths to choose from. The short option leads back to the village center via the quiet road "Hofstettenstrasse". If you opt for the longer option, continue on to Girengärtli.
Longer Option with Magnificent Views
For the longer option, you continue on a gravel path that leads straight ahead, past a wonderful place of worship, and then to the Fallen viewpoint. With the babbling of the Sellbach stream, you may enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Walensee here. The path now climbs up through the forest to the Girengärtli playground – A place that invites you to rest for some time.
Once again you have a wonderful view of Lake Walensee. There is also a table and benches that are perfect for a picnic. The circular trail finally leads through the forest back to the main road and down to the village center.
